Tooth Surface

ToothSurface

The tooth surface, called the "pillow/tooth object" by Nordstrand (1997), is the quartic surface given by the equation

 x^4+y^4+z^4-(x^2+y^2+z^2)=0.

It is a special case of Gorsat's surface with a=0, b=-1, c=0.

It appeared on the back cover of Thomas (1992).
