Isotomic Transversal

Suppose a line L^' meets sidelines BC, CA, and AB in points A^', B^', and C^', respectively. Let A^('') be the reflection of A^' about the midpoint of segment BC, and construct B^('') and C^('') similarly. Then A^(''), B^(''), and C^('') are collinear in a line known as the isotomic transversal of L^' (Kimberling 1998, p. 150).

An isotomic transversal is sometimes referred to as an isotomic conjugate (Ehrmann and van Lamoen 2004).
