A knot or link in is said to be fibered if there exists a fibration and if the fibration
is well-behaved near
(Rolfsen 1976, p. 323).
Examples of fibered knots include the trefoil knot
and figure eight knot.
The knot sum of two fibered knots is fibered (Rolfsen
1976, p. 326).
